My boat is equipped with OMC controls along with a 1995 115 Evinrude. The controls could be of a later year (1992, year of the boat). The boat was recently tuned up and the warning horn was found to be working OK. I have had a inconsistent beep from the horn here and there for quite awhile. It souns like a short to me, but I don't know. The oil is full and VRO seems to be working, and it has new thermostats and water pump in it as well. It will beep quick when you put it into gear sometimes, or about mid throttle. The beep when you turn the key is a bit inconsistent, sometimes I get a good solid beep, then other times only a chirp. My mechanic can't seem to help me. Any ideas??
