Warping issues of hatch covers....please help!!!!

How is a good way to keep 3/4 in plywood hatch covers from warping when it rains or they get wet....would like to hear some tips....Thanks

Can it be covered in glass or resin then painted or carpet?

Fiberglass and polyester resin both sides, seal all edges with resin, it will take multiple applications to seal the end grain.
If the current hatches are wet they are not good, you have to start with dry wood or the resin will not work.

Get some PT ext grade ply and let it dry out before you begin.
Buy unwaXED polyester resin, not home depot All Purpose stuff.

Sealing them up properly is the key HOWEVER they must be dry to perform the sealing. It sounds as if they are absorbing moisture and worst case scenario you might want to replace them all together with new wood since they have moisture in them.

jonesy is corect.......your wood is wet.
after you glass the wood......use an alum edging as well. it will stay straight for years
