I totally agree with that comment update motor isout of the crate on the boat new shifter installed didnt run the cables yet thats enough for today Im happy that some of you got really great gifts as for the 25 kids hope you bought at least one of them a rod so that you can take them fishin this summer going to go and a@#kiss my wife hope this doesnt cost me know as her b day is a few weeks away

Unfortunately, I was not able to buy any of them fishing gear. They are all to young, and the couple that are old enough, that's grampa's gift so I can't go there. I was able to hand out a few nerf guns and the like. These kids are some family, but most are my buddies kids. One day, I will have little one's of my own, and then I will buy them all the fishing gear they could imagine. Even though I couldn't get them gear, I will take them fishing as I do every year. C'mon Spring-time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am glad to hear everyone survived christmas. Didn't get any boating or fishing stuff. Got 2 sets of the same impact sockets, 2 different size but the same set of deep impact sockets. clothes.Did not get the Red Rider BB gun, Herself (wife) put the stop to that, why I don't know she is the one that complains when the neighbors cat gets on her car!! Oh well there is always next year.

rick rick you did get fishing stuff sort of well some of the tools will certainly be fixing the motor and you might wear some of those clothes while on the boat yup I have the same problem with squirrles here

Yeah. When you're a granpa several thing seem to happen.<br /><br />You probably have almost anything you really need.<br /><br />You probably buy many more "things" than you get.<br /><br />But: What you enjoy most in the world, your descendants, surround you. <br /><br />I would much rather have a day with them than anything in Cabelas or BPS.

CORRECT JB. Just being around the girls 3 and 6 yrs old sheds alot of the years (mine) during the time I'm with them. The 3 yr old follows me around and spies on me constantly , some times I think she the look out for big sister.

ok you are both right there was no better feeling the my son opening up his nintendo or my daughter opeining up her barbie lip gloss maker or the baby opening up his bob the builder toy it was great makes me look forward to those days when the grandkids open up toys and say thanks grampa but alas I still can't beleive what my wife did for me my buddy my son and I were in the garage putting the motor on the back anyd my wife just stood there looking at me with that childhood glaze over my eyes I will be nice to grow old with her!!! hope all of you are as lucky as me to have a wife that fully supports all my passions

Well I scored the usual standards... Ya know, Socks & underwear (thanks Mom), a couple t-shirts, and a few bucks $$$...<br /><br />My gang seemed to lack the spirit this year... We've all been working our butts off so I guess we just needed a rest...

I got a Red Ryder for Christmas around 1943. Still works fine.<br /><br />I gave it to smallest Grandson, Luke, 7, for his B'day in early Dec.(in custody of his Dad). What a thrill!! I think I was just as thrilled as Luke was. We went through a whole pack of Daisy copperplateds in one afternoon.<br /><br />I do so love being a granpa!

Well I will have to say I scored this Christmas. Girlfriend bought me a nice wood lathe. So now my woodshop is complete! Scored a couple of penn 49L senators with leadcore line. Mom and dad bought me a nice chuck for the lathe. Then clothes clothes clothes. I bought myself a christmas present this year also; a home theatre system with dvd. The new 6.1 dolby digital is amazing! I'll never go to the movies again. And teamed up with my TIVO it sounds so good. I never realized how much better fiber optics are compared to old analog cables.<br /><br />Merry Christmas everyone and have a safe and happy new year!

happy holidays everyone!!!<br /><br />i got boating stuff this year, i call boating the 2nd of my 2 passions; making music is the other one.<br /><br />i got a garmin handheld GPS from my g/f this year.... it's pretty sweet, now i can mark all the spots where i drop my gear in the water <br /><br />i got a stearns inflatable vest from my folks, one of those deals with the c02 cartridge.... very handy in the winter months, as i worry about going overboard wearing jeans, boots, coat, etc. i don't float naturally! they also gave me a new (floating) thermos to keep the coffee warm. i hope to try out all this stuff this weekend, as the weather here in NC should reach the 60's. <br /><br />HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

OMC- nope wont put an eye out, but would need to keep an eye for Herself as she like a nice quiet neighborhood. Frying pans hurt unless she hits me in the head. <br /><br />whosmatt- are you really going to try them out, that implies you are going floating. Or are you hoping they work and you float as appossed to sinking.

Well i got a lot of hugs and kisses from<br />the kids, they are busy playing with their<br />new xbox on the wifes new 36" tv. <br />everybody had a good christmas. Even the turkey<br />was cooked just right. Still no snow here, sure seems strange. Ill have to wait for some snow to<br />get my truck stuck before trying out my new snow chains. I will put off going into the mountians this week end. I hope every one had a great christmas and a safe one too!
