The exhaust leg is just an empty box, and there are holes in it. So some water comes out the holes. <br /><br />When my motor is on a fast idle, it pumps so much water, faster than it can drain, that the exhaust housing will fill up and water comes out the top of it.<br /><br />As long as the peehole is working, and the engine does not overheat, then the water tube must be attached. So the water coming out of the drain holes has already circulated thru the engine.
