Water got into TM's motor. Is it toast?

A friend just gave me a 24 volt Minn Kota trolling motor that has seen better days. The rear seal failed and water got inside the motor. I took it apart, cleaned everything and dried it out but I have doubts that it will ever live again. I'm not that familiar with electric motors and was wondering if it could be salvaged after being soaked in water like that?

If it's cleaned up and dried out, check the brushes and replace them if they are worn. Reassemble it, and give it a try.
