Could be the motor was never broken in correctly and as it sat unused things just tighten and set in a self imposed groove. :laugh: It is just old and tired and lazy. If you really need to go faster buy another boat.

I agree overthinking but at least you have something to ponder over the long winter; better than beating your wife with a shovel.

These long winters are apparently dangerous in some places! LOL
