Water in fuel system?

I neglected to put in the plug in my Polar Kraft 1650 aluminum duck boat. By the time I got back to the launch site after parking the truck, the battery well was full of water (I will now install either an float switch or just install a new automatic bilge pump). The water rose to a level that I believe the fuel tank was covered, but not for very long. It is a permanent installed one and I am fairly certain it is completely sealed. The fuel/water seperator also drowned. Is there a test to see if the water tight integrity was maintained and the 18 gallons are fine?

Ayuh,...

I really Doubt you have a Problem... As you noted, the fuel system is Sealed, other than the tank's Vent...

Just run it,+ if it looses power or runs Bad,... Just Change the Fuel Filter...
That's Why it's there,...

Btw,...
Even if by some chance you take on a Gallon of Water,....
The 18 gallons of Gas are still Fine,...
You just need to remove the Water that'll be Under the Gas...

Bondo is right. Unless the vent went under, you're good.
Sounds like a good bit of water....get that automatic float switch installed!

Where is a vent normally located on the tank? Is it a line out to somewhere?

It will usually be located towards the stern ( either side ). Will look like this;

It will be an overboard discharge.
