Had oil in water , changed ran a few minutes checked after shutdown clean waited 20 min, and oil had a considerable amount of water in it. I took engine out and apart , block is not cracked , head pressure checks, manifold is good , what the heck could it have been?

How much water in the oil? Gallons, pint?????
Did it raise the level on the stick, or just make the oil milky?

there was enough to make it milky and the amount may have rose on the stick when i pulled engine and drained the oil the water came straight out first, i cranked and ran probably 1 minute intervals and checked oil it wasnt really milky yet, then after shutdown it showed up

It takes a while for oil to get milky, more than a minute or so.
If the level rose, you have either a cracked head, block, head gasket, or ______.
Pressurize the block and see if it hold pressure.

Be kinda hard with the head off-you jumped the gun.
Threads in here for testing; I don't know that there is one, after the head is pulled.

Get out your magnifying glass and inspect everything (isn't there something you can spray on parts to help detect cracks?). If nothing put it back together and then test it before starting. Sorry but you put the horse before the wagon with this one. Don't feel bad, its not like I haven't done it before. ;)
