with all the rain we had last week, my boat cover came off so the bilge got flooded big time. water over the starter & oil pan. well, i screwed up. after i pumped out the bilge i started the engine to charge the batt., without checking the oil. i ran the engine for about 5 min., it ran fine. i figured everything was ok. i returned the other day to take the boat out & when i checked the oil it was white. there's probably 8 qts. of this water/oil mixture in the pan. i haven't done anything yet, as i need an oil change pump. my concern is that i ran the engine with this mixture in there. any tips besides just changing the oil & filter a couple times? it's an 87 omc 3.0.

wolf let it drain till nothing else will come out' Then do as you said just chang the oil till it comes out clean. At one point during this you will have to get the engine warm enough to dissipate the water so it will come out with the oil
