ok, so i did an oil change on my 2001 glastron, with a 4.3GL engine. I filled the oil level to safe are(4L). I fired the engine up, it ran like a champ, and 45mins later, shut it down. The boat sat there for around 10 min, and i checked the level again to find the level up approx. 1/4" on the dipstick. and yes it was milky. does this small of increase in the level indicate a cracked block or are there any other possibilities? thanks all in advance!

so does 1/4" not sound like a very minimal amout to be in the oil pan? correct me if im wrong, but when a cracked block condition occours, wouldnt you typically presume that it would take on alot more water? And yes a pressure test is soon to be done.

Yes, there are other possibilities,,,
cracked intake manifold, leaking oil cooler, blown head gasket, etc.
pressure test will be able to tell.
