Thank you guys so much! I have a test run planned for sometime in the next couple days to make sure I don't have any hull issues and then I will tear it down and re-seal the lower unit. I am a little intimidated by this task but I am sure I can handle it. Thanks again for the helpful info!

I have been giving this a lot of thought and I was wondering if this task isn't just a little over my pay grade........do y'all have any idea what a good price would be for someone to do this job for me? I have actually found a couple places close t me that work on boats so I would love to know what I am getting into. If I go in with a price in mind that is pretty fair I would know if I am getting hosed! LOL!

You will probably pay around 1.5 to 2 hours labour plus the cost of the seal kit? Seal kits about 20 bucks. Not sure many places would do it for an hour labour.

So I guess it depends on what the labour rates are at the shops near you. Where abouts do you live?

I live in Vienna WV. I am right on the Ohio river so there are a few places within a short drive. I thought all of them left the area but that was just the two that used to be here in Vienna that closed up. I have a few numbers to call Monday so I guess we will see if they want my money! LOL! If it is more than I think is fair I will do it myself. I am sure I can but I just really don't want to try it since the goal is to make this little motor the best it can be. I will let you all know what I decide to do....may need your help guiding me through this one!
