Water Intake

There's another message on this board where someone said they bought rabbit ears and wondered where the water intake was so they could run the engine at home. From this message I now know where the water intake is but I don't know how to hook the water up to it. Do I need rabbit ears, will any marina sell them and can someone explain how to hook it all up properly.

Too bad my manual doesn't explain this but it seems to assume I'm already a pro!

Thanks,

Steve

Re: Water Intake

Once you see the rabbit ears I think you will understand how they attach. You should be able to find them at any marine shop. they basically are a V shaped piece of metal you pull apart to cover the two water intakes and then they spring back into shape to clamp on. Hope this helps.

Re: Water Intake

Thanks, Mic. Do I just stick the hose into one side of the rabbit ears or something?

Re: Water Intake

There should be a fitting that screws right on to a typical garden hose.
