Water pressure Gauge

Does anyone know where I can find instruction on installing a water pressure gauge on a 1973 115 Evinrude?

Welcome Larry!!<br /><br />The water pressure gauge is tied into the overboard indicator line on a crossflow. The bad news is that the 1973 motors didnt come with one. The good news is that its real easy to install and you can put it where it does the most good.<br /><br />Do a search on "block venting" in the Johnson & Evinrude forum. Once you get the overboard indicator line in you just "T" into it to feed the gauge. Very simple.

Thanks for the information. I finally found the post that gave me the information I needed. Do you recommend removing the head before drilling into the water jacket or is it safe for a shade tree like me to do to just start drilling as long is I go slow.?
