Just got back form the lake I had the boat WOT and the water pressure was around 17psi I know that is high. I am wondering what caused it to have that high of pressure? Normal I think it runs about 13psi WOT. THe motor is a 2001Mercury 125hp ELPTO.

Re: Water Pressure

Any thoughts? The motor rpms were about 5000 rpms. Could it need new impeller or I wonder if it was just acting up.

Re: Water Pressure

That's not high! My 75 triple runs 15 - 17 PSI. Water pressure gauges are not "precision" instruments so they may be +/- 10% accurate. Where the pressure is being measured also plays into this. You don't need a new impeller.
