Water pump kit quality?

I am going to do the impeller soon and want to order the parts. Is Sierra quality OK or should I go with Quicksilver? Also, I would like a kit that is all inclusive with a face seal, gaskets and O rings. Does Quicksilver have this or just Sierra? I seem to have trouble on iboats finding Quicksilver parts and it keeps going to Sierra.
Thanks,

Re: Water pump kit quality?

I went to the search function and found a bunch of threads asking the same question. Here ya go.

I have used Sierra kit on my last boat and have had no problems with fit and finish, but as for longevity of the part I haven't ran it long enough to give you an opinion as of yet. I'm sure people will chime in...

I had a Bravo, so it's a different type pump than yours, but I used a Sierra kit with no issues at all. The kit I got included the back housing of the pump, which in the Sierra was physically lighter, but it did not wear out or break prematurely. Definately could not justify the extra cost of Mercruiser's kit. Best of luck to you.
