water pump leaking out of weep hole?

not much, but its got me worried i just got the boat and noticed a bunch of crust around the weep hole?

But without knowing what kind of engine, drive, muffler bearing, widget, or steam engine it is.........It'll be very difficult to formulate any sort of answer......... .......

If water is leaking out of the weep hole, that is an indicator that it is going bad. Replace it.

The WP shaft seal is shot, you'll have to replace the WP.

oops sorry, it's a 5.7 chevy with a merc. alpha 1


thats kinda what i thought but wasnt sure. what would yall do get one from napa or call mercruiser?

Ayuh,... Either, Or, as long as it's Marine rated...

Is it closed cooled or raw water?


Either case, you just need a new circulating pump. If it's closed cooled, any pump will be just fine.

If raw water, you should use a marine pump from most any of the marine suppliers. Napa (Sierra) is probably as good any of them....
