water pump ?

i broke a bolt from water pump to block, so I need to remove the water pump to remove the bolt .... my gaskits had rtv on them so I will need new one but can I make my own gaskets or do I need to buy new ones???

those water pump gaskets are usually $3 a pair or something (SBC Chevy ones anyways). Or you can make them from a roll of gasket paper with a ball peen hammer.
You need gaskets there.
