can a 1967 50 hp be made to have a pe hole for water to shut out of i just put in a new water oump in it and it spits some water out the back port of th engin but is this anough.

Jason,<br /><br />If memory serves me right you should have a fitting on the lower left side of the motor (looking from the rear) that connects to a rubber tube that connects to the lower wrap cowl on the right side rear. If there already is a tube there it is probably plug up, mud daubers love this on a boat. If not, if you remove the upper cowling at the left rear on the top of the cylinder head there should be a copper plug that can be removed to install a fitting so you can install a pressure gauge on/at your console. Gauge should read 3 to 5 psi at idle an increase with RPM. A 15 psi gauge is adequate for this. hope this helps.
