Waterproof Thread locker

I am looking for a waterproof thread locker to be used for a 5/8 stainless Heliciol in an aluminum housing on my Alpha 1. Loctite may work, but I can't find any information on if it is waterproof or just water resistant. High strength is probably required for this application.

Leaking is not a concern. I need to permanently glue a helicoil in the threads with a product that will not break down underwater.

Is Red Loctite the strongest product that will not break down underwater? This part will have a lot of stress on it.

permatex medium thread locker that put on the helicoil threads a small amount ....
when the bolt is old did not take that bolt off very high torque .. then I use a small torch flame heat it up then use a socket or a wrench in the ice water bottle .. then the bolt will shrink and remove that old bolt....on the cold tool ..
I was working on the 1960's outboard motors ... and some steel bolts [idiots] then the aluminum creates corrosion , then I had to create helicoils and used the s/steel bolts ..

all the loc-tite thread lockers will work underwater. they just have to cure above water.

red-lock is great but don't expect to ever remove bolt w/o a lot of work and maybe heat.

Hopefully I can keep the Lock-Tite off the bolt and just use it on the Helicoil.

I don't phrase my questions very well. The threads that I am installing the Helicoil in are for the hinge pin. I have concerns about strength of the repair. Is Red Locktite the strongest thread locker or is there something better?

Ayuh,.... It's what I use,....

I use red loc tite on helicoils. I use blue loc tite on the bell housing hinge pins and heat to remove the hinge pins for service. Never had a failure on either, ymmv

the hinge pin helicoil thread is a red loctite ....then put the blue medium loctite hinge pin ...
I take out the hinge pins ...I use a high flame heat and the flame is small turbo torch ...

Just do not add more than a small dab of red on those pivot bolts. I've had a couple that someone used a ton of it on and heat would not take them out. There was so much on there that I'm surprised it even pivoted.

Just use it on the helicoil and insert it. Run your bolt in and out a couple times to remove the excess loctite. Wait for the loctite to set, then install the bolt...
