waterpump again

1996 200hp oceanpro I cant see that rod you were talking about I want to remove the waterpump and you said the linkage under tha carb port side but it just looks like it attaches to the block and not a separate rod.

Shift into reverse to get the shift lever down. Watch the linkage under the lower carb move. You should see a lever, triangular in shape move. This is the lever the shift rod is connected to.<br /><br />Drem...really should keep your original thread together. Makes it hard to follow the job and problems.
