With the record Torre had since 96 , I can think of 25 other teams that would like to have a manager with a performance record like that.

Steinbrenner is a lot of things, but stupid he is not. It was a diversionary tactic. One that worked quite well BTW.

I heard that during the game last night. Did not occur to me but boy if it is true your right it worked unbelievably. No mention of players shortcomings at all. All about George and Joe.

And who here cant tolerate the TBS guy Chip somebody or other. The guys gotta great voice but shut up and let Tony Gwynn and Bremley tell us about baseball. And this switching back and forth from TBS to TNT is rediculous. Let 2 networks handle the games next time.

Sorry for venting, the stress of having being down 0-2 is still lingering.....

TBS guys are number than a hake. Let's make a law that all the playoff games hafta have the local broadcasters for each team do the game no matter which network has the rights to the game. You'd have Jerry Remy from NESN and whatever moron the team of the day has as their home station guy. GO SOX. GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
