No water coming from the weep hole of my Yamaha f60 4-stroke. Runs fine and no alarm. Flushing runs water through engine but still nothing out of weep hole. Tried cleaning it out with object in case of bugs. No luck. Bad water pump or impeller? Safe to run? Pulled the cover but not sure which hoses to disconnect to try cleanout. Couldn't locate a service manual online. Need to use boat in two weeks.

Re: weep hole

Follow the tell tale line backwards from where it exits through the engine cowl. Disconnect it at the engine and blow through it. Clean the fitting and retry. If still no luck, you best not operate the engine until you replace the water pump. With a flusher, you are "Forcing" water through the system so you wouldn't even need the pump. In the water the pump must force water through the engine. NO! It is not safe to operate with a bad pump. It will overheat. The result can be a blown head gasket, cracked head, scored cylinders to name a few. All of which amounts to a four-figure repair.
