Weight of Sunbird Corsair 150

Hi, I am new to this board. I recently purchased a 1994 Sunbird Corsair 150. We have a summer home on a lake with a horsepower limitation and so this boat is ideal with its 48 hp Johnson. My brother liked my boat so much he went out and bought one on ebay. He bought a 1988 model. When he was hauling it home he felt that it was very heavy for a 15 ft. boat. He did some research and found that the boat weighed 1150 lbs without the motor. This seems very heavy. Is this the correct weight for my boat? Any other information would be helpful.

Tell your bro to go have his boat weighed at a truck scale. If it's way over what it should be, he can pretty much count on the foam being waterlogged.
