Re: well now im screwed - Update

and i agree with all of you.. i know i had fuel in the oil.. and the plugs smelled of gas as well.. and the fluid coming out of the cylinders smelled like gas..

but i also have to agree that there was a ton of it.. and at one point it was hard to tell if it was water or gas.. cause everything smelled like gas at that point.. and it was most likely both..

when i pulled the carb it seemed like a half gallon of gas came pouring out of that thing.. im sure it wasnt that much but it was more than i had ever noticed before..

paul.. thanks for the starter check ill give that a shot..

thanks for all your help..

turned over the engine by hand.. and

gas spewed out of 4.. if there was any water in there it was impossible to tell.. it was a good amount of gas..

water out of 6 there appeard to be little to no fuel.. didnt noticed that anything came out of 1 2 or 7 8..

and it appeared to be gas out of 3 and 5 as well..

did not get a chance to try the starter.. and not sure i wanted to with all the gas in the bilge..

u_l_s_n, if in fact you do have gas in these cylinders, (you would be the only one that verify this), it's possible you have a bad anti-siphon valve on your fuel tank (or none at all, just a barbed hose connection, trust me I've seen 'em) and a bad needle seat in your carb, this could cause the excessive amount of fuel to perhaps siphon out of your tank into your cylinders.
So for starters, I'd check the connection at the fuel tank.
Good luck, let us know.
