Re: Wellcraft Sportsman makeover
Glenn,
I have a 248 sportsman myself and am about to get rid of the IO and go with a bracket and outboards. I'm really thinking about going with the twin 4 strokes, but am worried about how low it will sit in the water. Can you send a picture that will show me how low it will be? I'm actually thinking twin 175's or maybe 150's. I am planning to do quite a bit of the work myself, as I guess I like to work on them also (which is very evident in the current volvo power on the boat). As for performance, with my volvo I can get 42 MPH at full throttle with just me and a half tank of gas. I'm watching the fuel come out of the line like a water spigot, though and am hoping for better milage on the conversion. Thanks Gary
