all they had was attwood polishes and waxes.


did wally world suddenly stop selling the 3m stuff and the scotch guard wax? I just saw it there a couple months back.

bummer...now i gotta order it

Yea .. I noticed that too ... I also use 3M .. bought it @ Boaters World 30% off (which was still more than I used to pay @ Walmart) ....

Home Depot carries the 3M 5200, at about 10 bucks for a standard size caulking tube. (Not th ebig contractor sized ones...) April 2009, just bought 2 tubes.

try use collinite wax

925 fiberglass boat wax.
885 heavy duty fleetwax.
870 liquid fleetwax.
845 insulator wax

they are all good i also have more to choose from

All mine around here changed its boating supplies. The good part is all the old stuff went on clearance the bad part is all the 3M stuff is gone. I use Collinite, so no biggie but I used to use their stuff.

Yup Napa is a good source for me... has parts too. If my local napa does not have it ..... it is usually there the next morning. All you have to do is ask!

I saw the 3m stuff @ Gander Mountain - it was a little more expensive than the attwood stuff. I initially wanted the 3m polish, but went with the Attwood out of convenience and I'm not sorry and do not regret it. The attwood fiberglass gel coat restore did a great job on my oxidized gel coat.
