Howdy, reybueno.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Why were you changing the plugs? Is there something wrong with the engine performance? What?

Dude, quit freaking out! First off, your spark plugs are SUPPOSED TO BE WET with oil look to them. If they were dry, then you would have a problem!

Re: wet spark plug

hi there again thanks for replying I've changed the spark plugs because i just bought the boat and i took one of them out to have it checked at the marina store and they found out that i had the wrong one (wrong year 1990)so they gave me the right ones but i think there is a problem when i get the rpms to between 1500 to 2500 the engine hesitates if you pass 2500rpms i don't feel the engine hesitate anymore so what i did was i disconnected the top boot and i really dont see any difference on the engine 's performance which makes me think that top spark plug does not work it's the first time i own a boat so i don't know much about it, other than that it runs ok, it goes up to 4800 rpms with just me on the boat i never had any body else come with me yet i'm testing everything first.. thank you very much to everyone that replies to my questions

Do a Compression test on ALL CYLINDRERS! this will eliminate OR tell you if you have a blown piston!!!! That is deffinetly not good if you can take the boot off and it runs the same!!! TElls me either you arent getting a spark OR you have a blown piston! NOT GOOD! FIND out your problem AND FIX it before more damage is caused!!
