Re: What Are You Sick of Seeing?

Neighbors, that think just because the garage door is open, it's open house. C'mon over and waste a couple hours of my time babbling on about this and that,,,,,,, when I'm trying to get something done out here......

people who say they have no mechanical ability but want a step by step walk through on how to rebuild their outboard engine.

Worse yet! People with no mechanical ability trying to tell you step---by---step, how to rebuild your own engine.

aspeck I'm feeling better already, how about you?

If I felt any better I would have to be a twin because no one person should feel this good!

I mean, I am feeling finer than frog's hair! Did you ever see frog's hair? No? Then it must be really fine, huh?;):p

People playing scratchoff games at the checkout with 10 people waiting in line behind them.

People who do not know how to properly zipper-merge. Fill both lanes of traffic (even the lane closing ahead) and when the road closes, merge like a zipper taking turns.

People complaining about the economy, but doing nothing to help solve the problem.

People powerloading there boats at the local ramps.

People who think boating (or anything for that matter) cannot be done without being completely intoxicated.

Man...as I type this list...it appears PEOPLE is the common denomenator. I'm not sick of seeing my dog!

Re: What Are You Sick of Seeing?

I had albums, then 8-tracks, then cassettes, then CD's. Tired of replacing all my crap!
LOL, I still have albums. Remember putting a book of matches under an 8-track so it would play? Man we must be old.

I solved that problem easy enough ... haven't bought an "iwhatever" yet, and don't plan to till they get it right and don't have to change it. Haven't bought a blackberry, pearl, edge, curve, torch, or any of the others either. Was given a kindle, but that is as far as I go there. ;)
+++++1

Its so easy to respond, I just can't do it!
Oh go on, the Captains a good sport.:D

people that speed up to beat the entire lane of traffic that was smart enough to read the construction ahead left lane closed 1/2 mile sign.

The next thing that rakes me is the lowlife who lets him in after he skipped 30 cars on purpose.

aspeck I'm feeling better already, how about you?
Ooohhh, you just raised my blood pressure 30 points reading that.

People staying in the left (hammer) lane at less than the speed limit and refuse to move over so you can pass, then when you move to the right lane to pass they speed up.

Almost every day on my way home from work there is a traffic backup at the traffic light to get on I-16, there is always a bunch of @#*&#@ that drive by everyone and go way up front to cut the line and usually can.

"When television is good, nothing ? not the theater, not the magazines or newspapers ? nothing is better. But when television is bad, nothing is worse. I invite each of you to sit down in front of your own television set when your station goes on the air and stay there, for a day, without a book, without a magazine, without a newspaper, without a profit and loss sheet or a rating book to distract you. Keep your eyes glued to that set until the station signs off. I can assure you that what you will observe is a vast wasteland. You will see a procession of game shows, formula comedies about totally unbelievable families, blood and thunder, mayhem, violence, sadism, murder, western bad men, western good men, private eyes, gangsters, more violence, and cartoons. And endlessly commercials ? many screaming, cajoling, and offending. And most of all, boredom. True, you'll see a few things you will enjoy. But they will be very, very few. And if you think I exaggerate, I only ask you to try it."

A speach given in 1961 by then FCC chairman Newton N. Minow... Not much has changed.

Other things that I'm sick of seeing;

-When traffic stops or slows on the highway, some take it upon them self's to turn the break down lane into their own personal lane. Usually the elitists driving a luxury European vehicle who feel they are above all others on the road.

- As mentioned before, celebrities who are celebrities because they are celebrities; I.E. my daddy was on OJ's defense team long before I "mattered", or my family owns a large hotel chain.

- These mentioned "celebrities" blowing more cash than I will probably make in my life time, on anything (such as a wedding for a marriage that lasted 2 months).

- Celebrities in general telling me how to live my life, or attempting to influence political decisions made when they are completely out of touch with the common persons reality.

LOL. Not yet, but if I'm happy, that means it can only go downhill, right?

I like the technology, too. But I buy the iPhone 3Gs to have the 4 come out 3 months later. I buy the iPad to have the 2 come out 4 months later. Planned obselence is killing me. They should offer upgrades to the people who just purchased their product with bugs in it. Now I'm hearing iPhone 5...

very valid... I am in the same situation with my phone

More!

1) Idiot drivers
2) the ACLU asking me to donate 100 bucks on my way to classes
3) Doctors & Hospitals

Great Thread... lots of great ones...

Here's one, how about all the stores that push each holiday earlier and earlier each year. Christmas music playing at Wally world already. Christmas stuff on sale way before Halloween. Jeesh.

Photo ticketing. Cops hiding like cats waiting to pounce. Never there to stop crime, just bring in revenue. Disgusting.

Re: What Are You Sick of Seeing?

well, i got nothing new to contribute. myself. ads make me crazy. everything boils down to money. i hate ads so much that i won't even put my own biz name on the side of my van (like everyone else does). greed and money will be our downfall. i've pretty much written off tv too. in an hour of tv. i bet ya get 15-20 min. of whatever ya wanna watch and the other 40-45 mins. is ads trying to get me to buy something i couldn't care less about... disgusting..

oh, well, maybe i do have something new, maybe. i'm sick of seeing the war on drugs. this is about profit too (privatized prisons, drug companies, alcohol industry and more), . not about health of the population. this is a misguided criminalization of a portion of the population.

Re: What Are You Sick of Seeing?

I'm sick of seeing the effects of drinking and driving. What I'm even more sick of, and this is just one example, is hearing the drunk in the trauma room next door, scream and complain about the pain in his ankle as I'm hearing ribs cracking from effective CPR on the mother of three children, one of whom was dead on scene, and knowing that this innocent lady who just lost a child will most likely not even live to carry that grief and nurture her two surviving children through it.

...But somebody, please ease that man's pain!!!:mad::mad:

OK... Rant over. Sorry, folks.

Veri, it is a good rant, but it is not ever going to stop until it becomes legal to kill them when they kill the innocent.
I completely believe that there is an increasing number of people on this planet who are only alive because it is illegal to kill them.

I could not agree with you more, there are a lot of us that drink, we do not drink and drive, I do not take drink with me on the boat, when I get back I will drink. I have known several people that were maimed or lost their life due to a drunk at the wheel of a car and boat. A group of children lost their life this past Christmas due to a drunk child at the wheel.
