I just painted the bottom of the boat and came out awesome, now I would like to touch up the paint and pinstripes. First off how can I fix the pin stripe? Could I use vinyl or some kind of paint? And the brownish/red paint on top can i use some paint? Or maybe buff it out but I would like to paint it black! And how can I shine up the white exterior of boat? Thanks guys

If you want the pinstripes off use a heat gun and s plastic scraper.

I used a 3M rubber wheel decal remover when I did my old boat and it worked great. Your lower decals definately can not be fixed other than replacing them.

Use one of these to remove...its an eraser wheel you attach to a drill motor

Finish up by removing any remaining adhesive with either mineral spirits , lacquer thinner or acetone, depending on whether its gel or paint underneath, then get some new stripes made up at your local print shop...
or you can lightly scuff the area , mask and paint the stripes in your choice of pattern and colors...

I'd see a vinyl guy. Those rubber wheels make quick work, sometimes, on old vinyl. Your vinyl guy can can probably make it look better than you thought. Same goes for the top color.

That looks much better, Grady, but you still have some of the old bottom paint on the rear portion. You're gonna have to either lightly sand off the remaining bottom paint from the stripes, or use a gel safe stripper. Then you can remove the tape with either of the methods above. Ive had good results from a pressure washer, The pin stripes came right off a Sea Ray I stripped with a concentrated stream. Goo Gone will take the remaining adhesive off....

You can buff out the hull sides with a number of 3m cutting and buffing products...

Re: What can I do about these on pinstripes?

Thanks, i have one more question. I'm going to buy a da polisher or a orbital polisher and i was wondering what would be a good polish and wax for the exterior of the boat? What that bring the shine back to the gel coat? And is there a wax for the interior of the boat for the floors and walls? I would like to detail the boat the best i can go make it look sharp. And what is that foam for on the back of the boat? Is there anything I can replace it with?

That foam looks like a cushion thats seen better days, maybe to protect the OB when fully tilted?...recover it with marine vinyl.

Careful with a da on all those hard edges on the sides, you can burn them right down if not careful.
Id consider a fine grit compound applied by hand, then any boat wax.

Wax on the interior floor can be dangerous.

Again, look into 3m

Search: 3m marine compound

Thanks zool, you have been very helpful. Earlier in a post you said to use a stripper to remove the bottom paint on the back of the boat that covers the pinstripe. What stripper do you know of that wont f-up the pinstripe or gel coat? Or do you think sanding would be better? When I tried sanding it was really hard to get off but I didnt try to long. It's pissing me off everytime i see that lol
