What Carb Cleaners Are Safe For Use On Plastic Carbs?

I've checked the MSDS sheets for a few of the over the counter carb cleaners and also found several home brew recipes for carb cleaner. Many of them contain Acetone, MEK, Xylene and some other fairly strong solvents. I'm a little hesitant to soak the carbs in those formulations for fear that the solvents will attack the plastic. What can be used that will give good results? Granted gasoline is a pretty strong solvent and it doesn't affect the carbs, but I just want to know if there are any solvents that should be avoided.

I have found that BRP Engine Tuner is the best. Get a gallon of it and use that. I have forgotten carbs in that stuff for a few days and it never hurt them and they were very clean.

What Boobie said. That is all I use to clean my carbs now, no more harsh carb cleaners.

I like using Pine Sol as my dip as well. My wife appreciates it more than the chemical dips!
