Trying to figure out what i have for a motor so I can order parts and gaskets that i need. The data plate is gone off the housing.

Looks like someone removed the serial number plate... Why? I don't know. Maybe the old owner was trying to register it as a lower horsepower to save on getting a higher registration?

Anyways I pulled some numbers off the motor so maybe these might help....

Carb is number 628061
Next to the temp sensor is 301
On the side of the block near the shift linkage is 68016
Top of the block near the flywheel is P52996
On the block near the head is 465

Any info at all would be really helpful. Did alot of these Chrysler use similar gaskets and or impellers? Mine runs well but is not pumping water.

I can't tell you the exact year from those numbers BUT---Judging from the shape of the lower unit and the engine hood, that engine is somewhere in the 1970s, possibly even as late as the very early 1980s. It could be a 35,45,50, or 55. The only difference between all these was the carb, bore, and stroke. EDIT: I just noticed the spacer plate on the exhaust chest. That would make that engine a 50 or 55 horsepower

Head gasket and most other gaskets will all be the same as will be the water pump impeller and lower unit seals. I believe that the water pump impeller is also the same on the early Force 50

You can order gaskets and fuel pump diaphragms from a very early Force 50. Prop will be a pin drive 10 3/8 diameter Force prop.

Be aware that while your engine may have a 10 vane impeller, you will probably get a 6 vane impeller. If you have a choice, buy the 6 vane. The 6 vane actually pumps more water.
