went out today and had a good time. pulled the boat out and noticed fishing line in and around prop and behind prop thrust washer. pulled a sample of lower lube and its like a greenish kinda brownish color not really cloudy but not clear. started out golden and clear (penziol) only have maybee 60 hrs on oil. is this a nomal color or water. what color should it be with 60 hrs not quite sure? note: oil still stinks like it should and is still thick--93 200hp oceanpro

Sounds like your fine. If there was water intrusion, when you open the drain screw the first thing out should be a bit of water as it is heavier than the oil. If it's mixed, it will have a milky look to the oil. I haven't any idea what color the oil should be but yours sounds fine to me. Rick.

ok i took another sample today at lower screw and about a teaspoon of water came out followed by all the oil. could the fishing line have let this water in when it was tangled in (it was a lot of line and it was jamed into that seal behind thrust washer) is this little bit of water a problem. I was going to change and recheck after running any sugg.

Put new seals on the drain and fill plugs and try it with new oil.

If you come up with creamy looking oil or water under the oil, you should have vacuum and pressure tests done to find the source of the leak(s).
