What color wire

I have a bildge pump-brown<br />I have two nav lights-Grey<br />I have a horn-? What color is used for a horn orange? Red? as it is the positive side. Gray cause I have 100 feet of it <br /><br />All negatives are yellow in my boat.

Well, Realgun, it’s yellow for gnd only if you solder. Black if you crimp. Yellow with a black tracer is you crimp and solder...unless you are below the Mason-Dixon (you know foreigners are wondering what that is). If below the M-D, pink for gnd...unless you are east of the Mississippi. Then it doesn’t matter because you are required to use duct tape to hold everything together anyways. As for the horn, I thought they were outlawed in I'll-be-quirky.<br /> <br /><br />Btw, gray makes the most sense to me...something about you already having 100-ft of it.

Just got done crawling around under the dash of a new Stratos Bass boat today. Remember the horn leads being orange. I remember that cause it was dead in the road of what I wanted to do.

I had some red left over from another part of the boat so its red. And you can see the wire from under the dash and where it goes. <br /><br />I ran out of yellow so I used grey from the bow light 90% of the way to the fuse panel then the last 10% is yellow. <br /><br /><br />At this point I am dead beat. I wired up everything but the switches. At least everything works after I reset the breaker. <br /><br />I hate it when you assume you have power and you tell the wife here goes the pretty lights and she just looks at you when they don't, that about normal.

Hre's what I did for a similar problem (way too much red wire in stock). Ever few feet I taped a bit of masking tape on the wire with the color written on it - so the red becomes whatever you want.<br /><br />Aldo
