It only hapened to me once to me down here, and that was with a 73 chevy pickup, that was the year they forgot to put the rain gutter the first time. Anyhow the dealer told me to put vegatable oil on it as the veg. oil wont deterioate the door gasket. I havent had it happen in 30 yrs or so. seldom frezes and rains here, amd I keep them under the carport now.

Any of the above would probably work. the Idea is water repelent, water wont stick to the gasket it cant freze it to the metal.

Vaseline is what I use when the weather turns cold. We actually had a few days where we had drizzling sleet (that almost sounds like a bad word doesn't it :) ) and temps below freezing. I buttered it up and never had a problem. I also do my door locks.

Silicone spray will do the trick I have been doing it for years. Yesterday it was 61f right now it's 8f with 30-40 mph winds....

Lol at KB. My uncle used to say that! He wouldn't go into a Mexican resturant because he didn't want to get the "drizzlin shi_s"!

WD-40 I use it on all rubber it keeps it quiet and will not let it stick and protects it. I also use on plastic I love the stuff it will not hurt anything I buy in the gallon cans so I can pour on rags and wipe on what ever I want. Plus if you work with lumber or logs and get tree sap on your hands pour a little on hands and rub together wipes right off.......... :D ;)

I like using silicone spray. Keeps the rubber in good condition and keeps it from sticking. FWIW, put a heavy layer of wax on the area that the door seal mates up to. If the water/ice can't stick to the surface, your door won't become stuck.

Same for door locks, use a water displacing lube.

I've always been told and used silicone spray.

What always gets me is water freezing on the door mechanism inside the door. The only thing that worked there is careful use of a hair dryer.
