I can't believe you southern guys talkin about gettin your feet cold!!
I have been out bow hunting when the temp (not wind chill) was 20 below. I'm not cryin, I got a deer that day!

When I feel like having venison I take a lawn chair about halfway down the driveway and wait for them to cross it or the open field next to it. Get Turkeys the same way. Taking one deer every year or two keeps them dumb about people with guns.

I usually just sit here on the puter, and get up and look out the windows at the feeders ocasionally. Sometimes I listn to music or watch TV, or repair my fishing gear.
Some days I dont hunt from such luxury. On thoes days I work on whatever needs repairing in the shop and watch out the back door ocasionally for the deer at the feeders.
Mostly I just watch. I did kill one this year, first time in 4 years! Dont hunt like I used to, It just lost its thrill. I guess I have watched Bambi to many times with the grandkids.

You can call me a wimp all you want, but the fact of the matter is, I HATE cold, and DESPISE snow. Now, I can be out splitting firewood, or something strenuous outside, in 105 degrees all day, provided I drink somewhere in between 7 and 10 quarts of water.

When there are no deer, I switch to hunting the guy who brought the dogs to scare the deer away from the hunters. Here a trophy of a PETA member's head is just as good as a 10 point buck.
