Makes you wonder. A year and a half ago I replaced a 30 year old Kenmore washer because the transmission was making really alarming noises. Bought another Kenmore (made by Frigidaire) but have no illusions about its potential lifespan.<br /><br />Currently using a 27 year old Kenmore dryer that seems to be working fine, but who knows. Neither washer or dryer have ever been serviced.<br /><br />My parents got a Crosley shelvador fridge in about 1950 that my mother won by writing a poem. They used it until about 1968 when they decide to get a bigger one, GE, I think. The GE was still working good in 1998 when my dad sold the house. My brother-in-law used the Crosley as a beer fridge for 20 years or so and then I think he gave it to someone.
