where exactly is the tell-tale on this motor. is it the small diameter hose that exits to the right of the engine through the bottom plate?
i thought water was supposed to exit through the two holes on the back of the exhaust housing.
here is why i am asking. i just bought a motor that was not running. i replaced the left side coil packs, and starter. no it runs. however, i am new to evinrudes and want to make sure the water is circulating properly.
when i put my water muffs on and run the engine, there is water coming out from the hose that exits the lower right side of the engine. and when i pull the thermostat hoses, water is pumping out of the cylinder head.
basically, is this correct for this engine. i do not have thermosticks, so i dont know how hot the engine is running. i dont want to burn it up when i go out tomorrow.
long post i know, but thanks in advance for your help.
