Heisman Jinx?? I don't know what came over the Buckeyes or the Wolverines.
He who has the cure for last nights ill's will have 100 coaches seeking the remedy.
The layoffs definetly hurt the Big Ten this year. 45 days for Michigan and 52 for OSU. Meantime their opponents played 2 games after the OSU/Michigan finale. Not an excuse, just an observation that a lot of football people have made comment on.
The NCAA and the different leagues need to come together to work the scheduling out. Late August is too early a start for the Big Ten.
AS for Notre Dame, they are/were overrated from the get-go. Count me in with the crowd that wants them out of the BCS until they align with a BCS conference. Only due to politics did a #4 end up playing #11. Surely there was a more competitive team for LSU to play.
And Willy... Wisconsin was simply the third best team in the Big Ten. They should have beat Arkansas, so no surprise there.
Frankly, I was disappointed, not so much with the outcome as I fully expected Florida to be competitive, but I just expected a better game.
By far the best game of the bowl season was Boise State vs. Oklahoma.
And you miss the biggest reason they won't fiddle with the Golden Domer's Status---Money and TV ratings.
(A note to the gamblers: There are a ton of delusional ND supporters willing to put money on their team that it tends to skew the spreads and offer easy money to the rest of us, er I mean..the rest of the gamblers)
