What Hose - Transom to PS cooler?

I have an Alpha 1 sterndrive with a 5.7L engine. When I pulled the hoses out (getting ready for repower) the hose from the transom to the power steering cooler looked like a factory molded hose. But at the transom end, the plastic fitting coming out of the transom plate looks like a 5/8" ID barb with a big rubber bushing on it. The hose must be an inch or larger ID. Is that rubber bushing standard equipment? It doesn't show up in my Alpha parts manual. Or should the hose adapt from that 5/8" barb to the larger size at the cooler? (I'm assuming it's the right cooler, but perhaps that could be an issue too.)

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... The bushin' is factory, 'n the hose is 1" from there to the T-stat housing...
