Hi Aquacdaz,

NOW I know what you're talking about with the 'divorced choke'. It's what I call a heat stove choke. They actually work quite well, when set up properly. Better sensitivity to the actual engine temperature rather than the temperature of an electric element. That's not a bad looking craft either. What carb have you decided on?

Chris........

And I guess I owe you thanks for starting this post. I too have learned a heap, and MAY have solved my 10 year mystery.

Was set on the Edelbrock 600cfm electric choke and after adding up the cost. 250 for carb, 50 for adapter and another fuel adapter to fit I am 300 bucks. Found out today I can get this one I took off for 150 rebuilt from the online mail in companies.
www.nationalcarburetors.com
www.carburetorexchange.com

So now it comes down to me doing it right and if money is a factor.I am still leaning on the Edelbrock. Heck what is a few hundred bucks knowing its proven, I did it and all I learned on this post from you all...thanks and will return with my new product in a few weeks!!! Glad you learned with me!

Ok, I bought the Edelbrock 600 cfm and now ready to install. I have the squarebore adapter with 4 holes. One set of holes are drilled at an angle like a venture. Which do these go with the primary or the (secondary jets or larger intake), all the holes look the same in diameter??
