What is my engine and outdrive worth???

I have a 1978 Merc 302 along with the outdrive which I believe is an Alpha One. I bought the boat 3 years ago and only had about 10 hours on the engine when I got it. It has great oil pressure, runs like a top and because of the 2bbl carb, it gets decent fuel economy. Also it doesn't use any oil at all. The outdrive is in great shape also.

I'm considering parting out my boat and was wondering if it would be worth it.

Remember that this is just a guide - right now it is definately a buyer's market so your actual price might not be want you want. Sell the whole boat as a package deal. Save yourself the price of hauling the hull to the junkyard. My $.02

Ford has been OUT of the marine market SO long makes it and oddball package compared to a GM based one

It might have value just because it is an oddball combo, just have to find the right buyer.

Leave it in the boat as long as you can so you can run it for someone.

Are there major problems with the boat? Hoaw about the trailer?
