I have a 1978 Merc 800 with a 2 cyl. tilt/trim...
On the trim pump there is a "thing" that looks like you can turn it.
It says turn right to lock, turn left to unlock... I turned it all the way left and it came off the bolt... is this some kind of valve that when turned left lets the motor kick off bottom/stumps? It says to not use reverse when turned left...
