I ran across Seloc's website today and was really impressed with the organization and depth of marine repair topics. Is there a better or cheaper resouce for step by step marine repair, parts inventory, schematics etc.?

Seloc is good if you want a "broad brush" how to, however, if you want specific repair advice/knowledge, you need to get the service manual for your specific motor. They are spendy! And it will really add up if you are working on several different motors, but, they are worth every dime!

Get the OEM shop manual. Ebay or outboardbooks.com. Seloc and other third party books make good coasters for your beer.

The OEM service manuals are by far the best resource. The next best resource is this forum.:)

Seloc and Clymer also make good knee pads when working on something. Best thing to do is get the OEM manual.

The problem with the Seloc and Clymers is they cover such a broad range of engines in one manual, the last one I saw covered something like 22 engines.

An OEM manual covers only your engine, if it is in the manual it has to do with your specific engine, they are worth what ever they cost.
