What is the proper spark plug?

What is the proper spark plug to go into non vortec heads? I have seen that NGK BR6FS work? Or is there something better?

Have read many posts here where others running NGK BR6FS plugs in their non Vortec 4.3 V6's are very happy. So from what Ive learned.....they are probably the best out there. I just put a set in mine and it seems to be happy.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... I've always run AC Delco, MR43T spark plugs in Mine,....

The bodies are alloy, insteada plated steel,.... Less chance of rustin' off/ in,....

Overall, both AC Delco and NGK works really well in your engine model...It all comes down to the ease of obtaining either brand in your area.

By the way the motor is a 5.7 mercruiser

The reason I ask is because I pulled Autolite Platinum AP605 out of there and I haven't found any where that they say use this plug.
