Hi, this is very easy look in your left side (if you stand behing the motor and look at the plate and only you gone to look in the lower rigth corner of the plate and you gone to see a leter tha is not in regular box. for example in my 60 HP es the leter F that meen 1989. the letter let me know you e-mail adress and I send you the page for you can match the letter.

when you get the leter remember thah is a letter alone and in the lower rigth corner exactly and is not in the side of any number. then go to the page boats.net go to motors, then yamaha motors and look the end of that page and you will see the letter and the year so you can match I hope that you can resolve your problem and is not let me kow and i can be mor specific <br />good luck
