I have an Elto outboard 5 hp serial number 9916 model 5d10f. could anyone tell me what year this engine is. greatly appreciated. gpic.

1950-1954. Not sure that's an Elto, but may be wrong. The model number is a Gale configuration.

Hi Tim,
That was after Gale Products started badging some of their budget motors as Eltos. Primarily sold in Canada at that point...
