What is this reservoir for? Coolant? Where does the line run to?

Hello peoples! I’m new to boating and I got this boat for free. However I can’t seem to find what this bottle is for or where it was connected. It is currently disconnected and don’t know what it was filled with.

I’m assuming it is for coolant but I’m not sure. Please help or link any diagrams, if any…

It would be best to post a picture in this thread. (use the 'Attach Files' button). I did not see an image over on Reddit.

Free boats can be very expensive. It is hard to say what that line/tube is without seeing it. Sound like drive lube reservoir though . . .
