I'll start- I have a (newly restored) 1972 Coleman 425 white gas stove. Dual Burner, not the best, but never leaves me without a stove. I like that the tank stores in the stove, so it is all in one package for transport.
I also have a wisperlite backpakers stove.

Still have an early 60's Coleman somewhere in the garage.
But use a modern propane Coleman hooked up to the 20# tank.
Or an open fire with a tripod for a grill.

Pepsi stove is so neat! The local newspaper just ran a boy scout article on how make it here last week!

Me Older (very) coleman white gas two burner
Cheapest two burner coleman propane stuffed into another older white gas case. works very well now and the case also holds the propane tank for transport.

I prefer an open fire but I do have a coleman single burner stove that screws on top of a small lp tank that I use for my coffee while I'm getting the fire going. I also Have an old 2 burner coleman with the pump up tank but never take it.

Re: What kind of Campstove do you have?

In some parts of the country, a wood burning fire isn't an option in the mountains. So, I have a two burner LP coleman for use when I drive in, and I have built a half dozen or so of the soda-can stoves for use with denatured alcohol. My design was a little different that the one linked above, the holes were in the sides of the can and not in the rolled bottom pan, this sends the flame in a larger circle so the food in the center of the pan doesn't burn.

I have a Coleman two burner stove from the 80's, a small gas bar-b-que and one of those gas distubution systems that allows me to run both off one 20# tank. It also has a place on top for a lantern about 4' high. With a small table it makes a nice kitchen. We use the fire to cook when we can but about 1/2 the time thourgh out the summer fires are restricted.

Fire good! But sometimes you want to take the women camping, and they want things like, well, stoves.

We're using a 2-burner propane stove and a single propane burner - I'd prefer the coleman fuel stoves, though, cause it's hard to tell if you've got enough propane to finish the meal.

I do have a red coleman single mantle lantern from the 1940's, brighter than the 1980's model 2-mantle version.

Just to clarify, I use my coleman when "car-camping" and my whisperlite when I am backpacking
