What kind of oil, oil filter, spark plugs do I need for a 4.3 Merc.

Hi again! I finally got the new outdrive put on the boat!! All I need to do now is tune the engine up a little bit... any suggestions as to what I need to do other then change the oil, filter, spark plugs, etc..? (The boat hasn't ran in over 2 years because of the damaged outdrive.)<br /><br />So, what kind of oil do I need to get, what kind of oil filter and what spark plugs will I need... I have a 1993 Mariah Talari Z. I've got the 4.3 LX Mercruiser. I will probably just go to an auto zone instead of a boat shop, so what comparable boat oil will I need to get? <br /><br />Thx! <br /><br /><br />TT n Texas!

just ask autozone for boat oil.If they don't have anything compatable,they will sell you what they have.It might also clean your windshield.<br /><br />your boat dealer needs his rest,so leave him alone.<br /><br />GRIN<br /><br />DHP

Do you have remote or block mounted oil filter?
