Lotsa things make me happy. I'm like SBN...just like to smile. Lot easier than frowning.<br /><br />My family makes me smile. My grandkids make me smile. Having a good day makes me smile. A real cold Bud Longneck even makes me smile <br /><br />Lately though.....it's knowing my Mom and Dad are with me still. Now that, really puts a smile on my face!!

it dont take much to make me happy and smiley either. but the best ways to put a smile on face are a visit from either one of my grandsons. hearing my son got a job. (if i ever hear he kept one longer than a month or two i will probably break my face!) anytime spent on the water has me smiling. heck just life in general makes me smile.

Great post, JB!<br />Well, as you know, there hasn't been a lot of smiling lately in my household. And that's what I think I miss most.<br />But knowing that my nephew is at peace and with his God gives me great hope and joy. Though I may be crying on the outside, I'm smiling on the inside.<br />I'd have to add: My loving wife, my loving kids (and son-in-law), my Mom, Aunt and sisters, my puppy, the caring friends I've made on iboats , my boating bud who calls me regularly to give me the number of days until we launch, sunshine after a long cold winter, and knowing that soon it will be good boating weather. These all gladden my heart and put a smile on my face.<br />Thanks to all who care.

The way my 10 year old giggles when we wrestle. My dog. My wife when I'm "acting up" and she laughs at me. My 20 year old when she calls me from college just to ask how things are. Playing poker with my friends, hunting. fishing. boating. Wild game suppers. Iboats. SBN's jokes. Being the first person on the lake fishing or on the marsh hunting. The marsh coming alive at daybreak. Knowing that I get to see the foliage that toutrists pay to see out of any window in my house. Great thread!!<br />gratefully<br />throbbin rods

My 3yr old grandaughter when she clambers up on my lap, tilts her head against my chest and quietly says. "I love you grangad".<br />It's the loveliest thing in the world to accept the unqualified love of an innocent child.<br />Cracks me up every time.<br />Ross

Good Post JB<br />Well while roscoe is still thinking about it, I'll throw my 2 cents in. All of the above ofcourse, Wife, family, kids, grand kids, pets etc. But what comes to mind is every morning when I get up and open the blinds on the back door! Have just turned the coffee pot on and this also happens every night when we get home. All of the squirrels in the back yard stand up and quit what they are doing and stare at me through the glass door! (or my wife) as soon as we open the door they all come hopping/running as fast as they can to us because they know we are going to hand feed them peanuts.. they all come in the house when we leave a door open to be hand fed and a couple are so tame they jump into our laps and just expect us to have peanuts.. they will use thier paws to spread our fingures apart to look for peanuts then start looking in our pockets..yea kinda corny but it still brings a smile and a warm feeling.

Listening to certain pieces of music, and in some instances just a few choice notes in a song will do it for me....<br /><br />Picking up a guitar, especially when i'm "in the zone", and just letting all the days stress just fly away out thru my fingers... When I can play LOUD and it sound right, I think thats when I'm at my happiest..

Snapper<br /><br />Don't know what sort of guitar you are into..<br />But have a listen to Larry Carlton's "The Storyteller" and "Morning Magic" for some pure genius..<br />Larry was a significant part of the Steey Dan sound (Along with other greats).<br />I'm usually into blues/rock jazz fusion, but jazz guitar played by the master is a treat.

Seeing my 19 month old daughter run around, be crazy, and do normal 19 month old baby stuff.<br /><br />Seeing my son hit a baseball hard. Also seeing him get up on skis.<br /><br />More things that are better left private. <br /><br />Ken
